Choose the evidence that fits the item

Global Weidian Spreadsheet Categories

Category shortcuts are useful only when they help you ask better questions. Use these notes to narrow the sheet before you open external pages.

Global Weidian is an independent browsing guide for Global Weidian spreadsheet users. It does not sell products, process orders, handle shipping, verify sellers, or represent Global Weidian or Findsindex.

Where to begin

Begin with the product type you can evaluate most clearly. Compare rows inside that category, apply the same photo and sizing checks to each, and delay unrelated browsing until the first shortlist is complete.

Why categories matter

Shoes should not be judged the same way as a hoodie or bag. Footwear needs clear shape and sizing information; clothing needs garment measurements and fabric details. Separating product types removes irrelevant rows and makes side-by-side comparison much easier.

Category-first is also safer

Begin with the item you actually need—perhaps a bag, jacket, watch or small accessory. Once the list contains similar products, open the outside page and check the details yourself.

Minimum useful evidence

A category comparison matrix

Use the same small group of fields for every row in a category. Blank cells should remain visible; an unknown is more useful than a confident guess.

Product categories, comparison fields and commonly missing details
Category Minimum fields worth comparing A common missing detail
Shoes and sneakers Shown size, insole or foot guidance, side and heel views, outsole, box status, weight status. Whether the stated measurement belongs to the photographed size.
Hoodies, shirts and jackets Chest, length, sleeve, fabric description, front and back views, construction details. Whether measurements are garment dimensions or body recommendations.
Pants and shorts Waist method, rise, inseam, thigh, leg opening, stretch or fabric notes. Whether the waist was measured flat, around the garment or as a labeled size.
Bags Width, height, depth, interior, closures, hardware, material description, empty weight. Whether dimensions include handles, pockets or an expanded shape.
Watches, jewelry and accessories Exact subtype, dimensions, material wording, included quantity, fastening and close-ups. Scale: a close-up may hide how small or large the item actually is.

When categories overlap

Choose the category that controls the decision. A small electronic accessory may belong under electronics if compatibility matters most, or accessories if dimensions and fit are the main questions. Write down the reason rather than duplicating the row everywhere.

Which category should you start with?

Choose the item type you are most likely to use and most able to measure. If fit is the main uncertainty, begin with clothing or footwear rows that publish clear size information. If shipping weight is your concern, compare bags, jackets or shoes separately from small accessories.

If you only know the general use—an outer layer, everyday footwear or a small carry item—start there. The exact label matters less than applying the same measurements, photo checks and material questions to every result.

Mistakes to avoid

  • Opening every attractive thumbnail before defining a need.
  • Comparing a price across unrelated product types.
  • Using popularity as a substitute for measurements.
  • Assuming a category page has verified each seller or item.
  • Ignoring empty weight for bulky rows.
